いくにん【幾人】

〔疑問〕 how many 《people, men, women, etc.》; 〔不定の人数〕 some [several, a few, a number of] people. [＝なんにん, ⇒-にん]

●その時幾人かは印刷の間違いに気がついた. Several [Some] people noticed the misprint at that time.

・失敗した人も幾人かある. There were several [a number of] people who failed.

・出席した人のうち幾人かの人は初めてでした. Some [A few] of the people who attended were doing so for the first time.
